What your care costs, explained plainly
If you have already spent money on treatment that did not work, or been told there was nothing more to try, looking at cost again is hard. Here is everything set out plainly, so you know what to expect before you book.
A single IVF cycle in Ireland
€5,000–8,000
billed per cycle
The NeoFertility treatment plan
€2,000
one fee, up to 12 balanced cycles
Not here for fertility care? A women's health consultation is €100 for 20 minutes.
The initial consultation is refundable with two working days' notice. There is no obligation to continue.
How treatment works
Two steps, and you decide between them
The initial consultation runs for 45 minutes and costs €300. It is a proper first appointment, time to go through your full history and set out what we would investigate. At the end of it, you go home and take as long as you need. If you decide to go ahead, the treatment plan is one fixed fee of €2,000 for the full course of care.
The consultation stands on its own. There is no obligation to commit to the treatment plan, and no decision to make on the day. You take everything home, decide in your own time, and the choice is always yours.
Initial fertility consultation
€300 / 45 min
Refundable with two working days’ notice
A 45-minute appointment with Dr. Boyle or Dr. Toth to go through your history together. A separate fee, paid on booking.
- Time to go through your full history, both partners
- What we would investigate, and why
- An honest, specific picture of where things stand
Restorative treatment plan
€2,000
or €300 / month × 7 (€2,100 total)
Up to 12 balanced cycles of care, all under one fixed fee.
- Up to 5 doctor consultations
- Ultrasound follicle tracking
- Scans and hormone support that continue into early pregnancy, if you conceive
- Prescriptions, blood monitoring, GP correspondence
What the €2,000 covers

- Ultrasound follicle tracking scans as advised (up to 6 scans at our clinic)
- ChartNeo app (free for the first 45 days, then a paid subscription for the duration of treatment)
- Prescriptions and prescription repeats (the prescription itself, not the medications)
- Blood monitoring and prescription adjustments
- Pregnancy scans at around 7 to 8 weeks and 10 weeks, with a printed and electronic copy of the scan and a short video clip of the heartbeat
- Hormone support during pregnancy: weekly bloods for the first 3 weeks, every 2 weeks until 12 weeks, then monthly thereafter
- GP correspondence
- Referral letters for surgical assessment if needed
- Telephone and email support during office hours
- Digital basal body temperature thermometer
- Charting Book and User Manual

Public and private care
The HSE publicly funded fertility scheme
Ireland also has a publicly funded fertility care pathway, run through the HSE's regional fertility hubs. It starts with a referral from your GP.
Treatment at NeoFertility is arranged privately, at the prices set out on this page, separate from that scheme. Ask your GP about eligibility and how the scheme applies to your situation. You are welcome to see us privately at any stage, whether or not you are also going through the HSE pathway.
The Drugs Payment Scheme is a separate HSE programme, and it applies either way. It caps your monthly medication cost as described above, whether your prescription comes through the HSE pathway or through us.
For the HSE's own guidance, see Using HSE fertility services.
Women's health
Women's health consultations
The same diagnostic approach we use for fertility care, scoped to a specific women's-health concern, for patients who are not currently trying to conceive.
Common reasons women book this consultation

- Endometriosis investigation and management
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) outside of a fertility context
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
- Perimenopause and menopause symptoms
- Postnatal depression
- Other hormonal dysfunction and cycle concerns
See the conditions we treat for clinical detail. Consultations are with Dr. Phil Boyle or Dr. Agnes Toth.
Frequently asked questions
How much does fertility treatment cost in Dublin?
At the NeoFertility clinic in Sandyford, Dublin 18, the restorative fertility treatment plan is EUR 2,000 for up to 12 balanced cycles of care. If you prefer to spread the cost, the plan is also available at EUR 300 per month for 7 months (total EUR 2,100). The initial fertility consultation is EUR 300 for 45 minutes. A single IVF cycle in Dublin typically costs EUR 5,000 to EUR 8,000 per cycle. The NeoFertility plan is one fixed fee for the full course of care. There is no per-cycle billing.
How much does fertility treatment cost at NeoFertility?
The fertility consultation is EUR 300 (45 minutes). The full treatment plan is EUR 2,000, or EUR 300 per month for 7 months (total EUR 2,100), and covers up to 12 balanced cycles of care including up to 5 doctor consultations, ultrasound follicle tracking, ChartNeo app access, prescription management, and hormone support through pregnancy. Additional tests and medications are billed separately. NeoFertility also offers a separate women's health consultation at EUR 100 (20 minutes) for patients who are not seeking fertility treatment but want restorative care for periods, endometriosis, PMS, hormonal dysfunction, or menopause.
Can I book a women's health consultation if I am not trying to conceive?
Yes. NeoFertility offers women's health consultations as a separate appointment from the fertility consultation. The women's health consultation is EUR 100 for 20 minutes and covers conditions such as painful or heavy periods, endometriosis, PCOS, hormonal dysfunction, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and PMDD, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, and postnatal depression. It is a different appointment from the fertility consultation, priced differently, and it does not lead into the EUR 2,000 fertility treatment plan. Fully refundable with two working days' notice, same as the fertility consultation.
How does NeoFertility pricing compare to IVF in Ireland?
A single IVF cycle in Ireland typically costs EUR 5,000 to EUR 8,000, and most couples need more than one round. The NeoFertility restorative treatment plan is EUR 2,000 flat for up to 12 balanced cycles of care, billed once for the full course rather than per cycle. IVF and restorative treatment work differently, so the figures are not strictly like-for-like, but the difference in cost is substantial for most couples. For treatment outcomes and our full cohort data, see our results page.
Can I pay for treatment in instalments?
Yes. You can pay EUR 2,000 upfront, or EUR 300 per month for 7 months (total EUR 2,100). The EUR 100 difference reflects the convenience of spreading payments over 7 months, not a financing charge. The monthly plan is payable within 2 weeks of your first appointment. Once treatment has started, the plan is non-refundable, so please ask any remaining questions at your initial consultation before you commit.
Does health insurance cover NeoFertility treatment?
Doctors at NeoFertility are not covered as consultants by any health insurance company. Itemised receipts are available for submission to your insurance policy. Whether a specific policy covers fertility-related consultations depends on the insurer and policy terms. Surgical referrals (laparoscopy or hysteroscopy) are separate from NeoFertility fees and are often covered by Irish private health insurance. Our doctors are covered as GPs, so if your policy includes GP cover, you may be able to claim part of your consultation cost back. We recommend checking with your insurer before treatment begins. We do not guarantee coverage.
Are there additional costs beyond the EUR 2,000 treatment plan?
Yes. Tests and medications are billed separately from the treatment plan. Costs commonly include: medications (EUR 50 to EUR 80 per month, capped by the Drugs Payment Scheme for Irish residents), vitamins (EUR 20 to EUR 50 per month), NeoFertility Advisor sessions (EUR 80, 3 to 5 sessions typical), and additional tests such as an AMH blood test (EUR 80), semen analysis (EUR 150), DNA fragmentation test (EUR 300), and others. Not every couple needs all of these tests. Your doctor will recommend only what is relevant to your assessment.
What is the Drugs Payment Scheme and how does it affect my medication cost?
The Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) is the Irish Health Service Executive programme that caps prescribed medication costs at EUR 80 per month per individual or family. Most fertility medications prescribed at NeoFertility fall under the DPS, which means you will not pay more than EUR 80 per month for fertility medications regardless of how much is prescribed. Vitamins are not covered by the DPS and are charged separately: typically EUR 50 per month for the first 3 months, then EUR 20 per month thereafter.
What happens with monthly payments if I conceive during the instalment period?
The treatment plan is non-refundable once treatment has started. Specifics on the monthly payment plan in the event of an early conception are best confirmed directly with our clinic staff at your initial consultation, as we want to make sure the answer applies to your circumstances.
