How NeoFertility works

Restorative reproductive medicine starts with real answers

Most fertility clinics move straight to treatment without ever finding out what is wrong. At NeoFertility, finding your answer is where everything begins.

  1. The investigation

    The answers others missed

Timed blood tests, fertility charting, scans, and a detailed clinical assessment to find the real reason.

  2. Both of you

Your partner is included from day one

Male factor is involved in up to half of cases, so both of you are assessed from the first appointment.

  3. Your treatment

Your treatment is personalised to your cycle chart

Hormone support timed to your cycle, medication for ovulation quality, lifestyle changes, and surgery where needed for conditions like endometriosis.

  4. Over time

    Your overall health improves

Treating the underlying disorders (PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid, hormone imbalance) resolves the root causes of PMS, fatigue, and mood swings, so you feel better.

  5. After the positive test

Support continues after a positive pregnancy test

Your pregnancy is monitored with regular blood tests and direct access to your fertility team and NeoFertility doctor.

Patient stories

NeoFertility reviews

  • Michelle and Andy with their children Rory and Molly

“I had six miscarriages. Dr. Boyle said he’d done everything he could for me and I was ready to throw in the towel. But then, in early 2012, I phoned the office after yet another positive test. Despite a roller coaster first 12 weeks, we finally succeeded. Rory was born. Then Molly.”

  • Lynsey and Mick with their son Zachariah

“18 years of trying to become a mam. Six miscarriages. I attended so many different doctors and clinics and hospitals. Eventually I made my way to NeoFertility. I was ready to give up. Dr. Boyle said, ‘Lynsey, you are on the brink of something wonderful. To give up now would be a shame.’ Zachariah was delivered at 38 weeks and 1 day.”

  • Michelle and Brian with their baby boy

“Stage 4 endometriosis. My bowel had fused to my ovary. My surgeon did not think I would be able to conceive naturally and said maybe 5%. We figured we had nothing to lose and made an appointment with NeoFertility. Everything changed for us from that day. We had a healthy baby boy.”

What happens from here

What to expect

Your first visit

Your first appointment is with Dr. Boyle or Dr. Toth at the clinic in Sandyford, Dublin 18. They review your history, discuss your goals, and begin building your diagnostic picture. You will leave with a clear plan.

Age and timing

NeoFertility regularly treats women in their late 30s and 40s. The 53.6% live birth rate includes patients with an average age of 37. If you are wondering whether it is too late, that depends on your individual clinical picture.

Timeline

The diagnostic phase typically spans 1 to 3 cycles. Treatment begins concurrently -- you are not waiting months for answers before anything happens.

No referral needed

You can contact us directly. No GP referral is required, though the team is happy to coordinate with your GP throughout treatment. If a friend told you about us, that is how most of our patients found us too.

"My overall health and my awareness of my health and my wellbeing has significantly improved by being treated by NeoFertility." -- Susannah

Common questions

Questions couples ask us

  • What is restorative reproductive medicine?
Restorative reproductive medicine finds and treats the underlying medical causes of infertility and recurrent miscarriage instead of bypassing them. At NeoFertility it combines cycle charting, timed blood tests, scans, and treatment of conditions such as endometriosis and hormonal dysfunction.
  • Is NeoFertility an alternative to IVF?
NeoFertility is an evidence-based alternative to IVF. Rather than bypassing the problem, NeoFertility investigates why a couple has not conceived and treats the cause, helping many couples conceive naturally. In a 2015 cohort of 412 couples the adjusted live birth rate was 53.6%, including couples who had previously failed IVF.
  • What conditions does NeoFertility treat?
NeoFertility treats unexplained infertility, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, PCOS, low AMH, and hormonal conditions from PMS to perimenopause. A full workup reduced unexplained infertility from 24% to 1% in a 2025 study of 187 couples (Boyle et al., JRRM). See all conditions.
  • Is NeoFertility based on NaProTechnology?
Our method grew out of NaProTechnology, the clinical system developed by Dr. Thomas Hilgers, and has developed into restorative reproductive medicine. It looks at the full cycle picture: mucus, hormones, ultrasound timing, and the male factor.
